The Globe Trotter Facebook game for Thomas Cook was created to promote their currency conversion service. The game requires users to catch as many falling notes and coins as they can by moving a suitcase from side to side using either the mouse or arrow keys. As a player progresses through various levels they unlock new currencies that improve their chances of getting a high score. Each player’s daily score also provides an opportunity for them to win £100 via a random prize draw. The game takes advantage of Facebook’s Open Graph to produce actions and aggregations that are displayed on a player’s timeline and adds a social context by highlighting friends that play the game via a leader board.
